Shipping policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
| DISPATCH CUT-OFF Unless a different priority-picking commitment applies, in-stock orders received and paid before 12:00 noon AEST on a business day will be picked and dispatched that day. Orders received after the cut-off will be processed on the next business day. |
1. Choosing a shipping option
Where multiple shipping services are available for your destination and products, you may select your preferred option at checkout. Available options, pricing and delivery estimates depend on the destination, parcel size, weight, dangerous-goods restrictions, carrier capacity and product type.
Some urgent services may require priority picking. Any priority-picking fee, order cut-off or separate processing commitment will be displayed or agreed before purchase. Selecting a faster carrier service does not automatically include priority picking unless expressly stated.
2. Dispatch timing
The standard dispatch commitment applies only where:
- the order is received before 12:00 noon AEST on a business day;
- payment has cleared and no fraud or account verification is required;
- all ordered products are in stock and available at the dispatch location;
- the delivery address and access details are complete; and
- the order does not require special handling, assembly, customisation, dangerous-goods processing or a freight quote.
A business day is Monday to Friday excluding Queensland public holidays. Dispatch means the order has been packed and handed to, or made ready for collection by, the carrier. It is not a guarantee of delivery on that day.
3. Delivery estimates
Delivery timeframes shown at checkout, in quotes, by carriers or in tracking notifications are estimates unless expressly stated as a guaranteed service. Remote, regional or restricted-access destinations may take longer. Carrier network congestion, weather, road closures, industrial action and other events may affect delivery.
4. Carrier delays
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retail 6 is not liable for delay caused solely by a carrier or another event outside our reasonable control. However, this does not exclude any right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If an order is delayed, Retail 6 will make reasonable efforts to investigate and rectify the delay. This may include tracing the shipment, lodging an enquiry or claim, requesting an expedited delivery, arranging an alternative service where practical, or discussing another appropriate remedy. Carrier acceptance of an expedition request is not guaranteed.
If delivery does not occur within an agreed time or, where no time was agreed, within a reasonable time, contact us so we can review the circumstances and any remedy available under law or these policies.
5. Tracking
Where tracking is available, we will send it to the email address or phone number supplied with the order. Tracking may take time to update after dispatch. Contact us if tracking has not updated for an unusual period or indicates a delivery problem.
6. Address accuracy, access and delivery instructions
You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address, contact number and relevant access details. Contact us immediately if an address needs correction. We cannot guarantee changes after dispatch, and reasonable redirection or re-delivery charges may apply where the error was not ours.
If you authorise a carrier to leave a shipment unattended, you accept the ordinary risks of that instruction once the shipment is delivered as directed, except where loss or damage results from our or the carrier's failure to exercise due care or where the law provides otherwise.
7. Missed deliveries and return to sender
If nobody is available and authority to leave does not apply, the carrier may leave instructions, take the shipment to a collection point or attempt re-delivery. If a shipment is returned because the address was incorrect, access was unavailable or it was not collected, we may charge reasonable re-delivery costs unless the return resulted from our error or another legal remedy applies.
8. Split shipments, bulky goods and special freight
We may dispatch an order in more than one shipment where reasonably necessary and will not charge additional shipping without your agreement. Bulky, heavy, fragile, dangerous or remote-area deliveries may require a freight quote, special service, depot collection or delivery-access arrangements. We will contact you if the checkout service is unsuitable.
9. Inspecting deliveries
Please inspect the shipment as soon as reasonably practicable. If packaging or products appear damaged, photograph the condition and contact us promptly with your order details. Signing a delivery receipt does not remove rights that cannot be excluded under law.
10. Lost, damaged or incorrect shipments
Contact Retail 6 rather than relying only on the carrier. We will investigate and, where applicable, arrange a remedy under our Returns and Refunds Policy and the Australian Consumer Law. Do not discard damaged products or packaging until we advise whether they are needed for the investigation.
11. Shipping charges and refunds
Shipping and priority-picking charges are shown before order submission. Original shipping charges are not normally refundable for an approved change-of-mind return. Where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, reasonable delivery and return costs will be handled as required by law.
12. Delivery locations
We may not deliver to some PO boxes, parcel lockers, islands, remote areas or restricted premises. International shipping, if offered, is subject to separate availability, customs, duties, taxes and import requirements displayed or agreed at purchase.
