LOCTITE 648 is a high strength retaining compound designed to secure cylindrical metal components, including gears, sprockets and rotors on shafts. Suitable for equipment assembly and maintenance, it helps prevent movement and loosening caused by shock and vibration.

Its low-viscosity formulation works between close-fitting metal surfaces and tolerates minor oil contamination. Once cured, it provides a strong bond for assemblies exposed to elevated operating temperatures.
